If you dont mind the hassle its a cool sound. In the early days, most stereo devices were mono in/stereo out. This is recommended if you are processing a single guitar or bass. When one channel is deactivated (the light will turn off by clicking on its button), the other’s (mono) signal is routed to both of GUITAR RIG’s stereo channels. By default, both input channels are processed. Id rather just use delay to get a bigger sound. a basic problem I was having using multiple effects processors in stereo guitar rigs. The L/R buttons control the input routing of the software. I also play heavy stoner rock stuff as a 3 piece. I recently read a good article on line about the practicality of stereo guitar. I did it for a short while and though it did sound good its not worth the hassle IMHO. Thats assuming you can even convince the sound guy to provide two mics and two channels on the board. unfortunately, using guitar rig in sonar 8.5 the only way to have to automate the knobs is via Sonar ACT which permits to assign one control to one knob. This listing is for local pickup in our Phenix City AL showroom only. Your stereo rig might sound great to you onstage, but chances are the rest of the band wont here what you do, and the sound wont translate to the front of house.
